  • Time Change - Caucus Meeting of the Mayor and Council - 2/27/18

    In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 231, Public Laws 1975, notice is hereby given that the time for the Caucus Meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Town of Secaucus scheduled for Tuesday, February 27, 2018, has been rescheduled. The new time for the above listed meeting will be at 4:00 pm. The meeting will take place in Council Chamber II of the Secaucus Municipal Government Center, 1203 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094.

  • 2018 Arbor Day Tree Appreciation Campaign!

    Our goal is to plant 100 trees by Arbor Day! 2018 Arbor Day Tree Appreciation Campaign!  At $200/tree we need to raise $20,000 to reach our goal. We are asking our local businesses & residents to help us in our effort. We are hoping to plant 100 new trees by the first week in April to coincide with our community-wide Arbor Day celebration on April 27, 2018

  • Community Garden Registration is Now Open

    2018 registration is now open for the Community Garden at the Xchange in Laurel Hill County Park and the Community Garden at Fountain Park.

    To reserve your plot, please fill out our online application form. Plots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. We will do our best, but cannot guarantee plot placement.

     
  • Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Registration - 2018-2019 School Year

    School registration for the 2018-2019 will take place on February 13 & 14 (Pre-K) and February 21 & 22 (K).

  • Affordable Housing Units - Application Deadline 2-28-18

    The Town of Secaucus hereby announces that 38-1 bedroom affordable housing units will be available for rent at the XChange at Secaucus Junction, 3000-5000 Riverside Station (building K), Secaucus, New Jersey. The housing is under development by Fraternity Meadows, LLC and is available for low- and moderate-income households. Fraternity Meadows of Secaucus is located off the New County Road Extension next to the railway transfer station at the 15X exit of the New Jersey Turnpike.

Silver Certified Community

Sustainable Jersey® Certification is a prestigious designation for municipal governments in New Jersey. Municipalities that achieve certification are considered by their peers, by state government and by the experts and civic organizations in New Jersey, to be among the leading environmental municipalities in the state. Certification is a rigorous process and once certified, Sustainable Jersey® towns have access to incentives and grants; training and guidance towards the development of a sustainable community; and are promoted on the Sustainable Jersey® website as a town that is doing its part for the environment. 

Secaucus has met the rigorous requirements to achieve Sustainable Jersey® certification. Of the 566 registered municipalities in New Jersey, Secaucus is one of 28 towns out of 428 participating municipalities that have attained Silver Certification. By becoming a Sustainable Jersey® certified town, Secaucus reinforces our commitment to saving resources, the environment and the planet. At this time, Silver Certification is the highest level of certification awarded by Sustainable Jersey®.

Sustainable Jersey® is a nonprofit organization that provides tools, training and financial incentives to support communities as they pursue sustainability programs. By supporting community efforts to reduce waste, cut greenhouse gas emissions, and improve the local environmental, Sustainable Jersey® empowers communities to build a better world for future generations.
