The Duck Pond was awarded the Public Lands Clean-Up Award from the N.J. Department of Environmental Protection, after undergoing a massive cleanup in 1992. The park is home to many species of water fowl, and the pond is stocked each year with bass, catfish, sunfish, carp and perch by the N.J. Division of Fish & Game. Secaucus’ Annual Kids’ Fishing Derby is held there each spring. The banks of the pond are lined with picnic tables, park benches, some light playground equipment, antique light poles and two ADA accessible decks. At its entrance, a large caboose sites on an abandoned set of tracks.
