Mayor Michael J. Gonnelli is proud to announce that a New York based contestant, Paris Keswani, was crowned Mrs. Earth® 2017 and she also won the Congeniality Award. The annual Mrs. Earth® and Ms. Earth® Pageant is the elite international pageant system for diverse and poised women and was held from June 8-12, 2017 at South Point Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Thirty-eight women from different countries competed for the title of Mrs. Earth® and Ms. Earth® 2017. Among those thirty-eight women, Paris Keswani was deservingly crowned. She has previously chosen our town to help her reach her goal of planting 10,000 trees worldwide and constantly doing more for the community.

Mayor Gonnelli extends his gratitude for Mrs. Keswani because of her involvement with the Town of Secaucus. Paris strives for a greener Earth and has developed numerous projects to help her do so. She plans on launching her new jewelry line made out of 100% recycled materials and all of the proceeds will be given to the Prince Foundation, which feeds two hundred homeless people each week and hosts annual toy, book, and blanket drives in New York City. The newly crowned Mrs. Earth® of 2017 has been working with Mayor Gonnelli to support environmental projects and help children with special needs.

The Town of Secaucus applauds Paris’ efforts for a “greener” community and taking it upon herself to create change within the environment. Mrs. Keswani’s immense dedication for a greener environment is creating change and motivating others!
