Mayor Michael J. Gonnelli and the Town Council encourage all members of the community to get involved this Earth Day. The Environmental Department will be hosting its first ever “Town-wide” cleanup this Earth Day. Join the team on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Mill Creek Marsh (meet behind Bob’s Discount Furniture).
The Earth Day Clean-up is the perfect opportunity for students and other groups in need of community service hours or those who are looking for a chance to get involved with the Town. Come help beautify Secaucus and make it a healthier living space for everyone by removing trash and debris from the marsh.
The Town will provide pick-up sticks, bags, gloves, water and snacks to all those who wish to participate. Come prepared to get dirty in old clothing and sneakers or boots. Please be sure to bring a reusable water bottle that we will gladly refill. “Secaucus is all about the sustainability of our environment for future generations,” says Mayor Gonnelli. If you wish to get involved, please RSVP to Cleanup Coordinator, Lynn Kramer at or (201) 330-2000, ext. 3060.
