Mayor Gonnelli's Message - 5-1-2020

Dear Residents,

I am really looking forward to tomorrow when State and County parks will be officially open. Laurel Hill Park, Mill Creek Marsh Trails, the Secaucus High School track and dog parks around Town will be open. The weather is going to be warmer this weekend, so enjoy the parks, albeit responsibly. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for everyone to continue social distancing and adhering to protocols while you are outdoors. We must continue to be smart about our interactions.

As we inch back towards normalcy, I would like to remind you to complete the Census if you have not already done so.

It is very important that every resident in Town be counted. Federal, state and county representatives use census data to determine funding for local schools, healthcare facilities, roads, transportation, emergency services and more. Remember, it does not matter if you are a tenant or homeowner, a citizen or not, your language, employment status or any other criteria. If you live in Secaucus, you count. Please respond online at www.2020census.gov or call 844-330-2020. Support is provided in 59 languages including Spanish, Chinese and Gujarati.

Let us look forward to more positive news on the COVID-19 front. In the meantime, please stay tuned to our website www.secaucusnj.gov/virus for the latest updates.

Stay vigilant and be safe.

Mayor Michael Gonnelli
